English Expression – chalk and cheese

By Admin 4 Comments

chalk and cheese

This is another common English expression that we use when two people or things are very different.

Meaning – to be very different.

Examples :

– Bob and John might be identical twins but their personalities are like chalk and cheese. They are very different people.

– Barclays and Lloyds are both banks but like chalk and cheese when it comes to customer service. In fact, it is amazing just how different they are.

Note: You can also say “as different as chalk and cheese”

Remember to try and use this expression when you speak English. It will help you speak English more confidently and fluently.

Here’s another English expression for you to learn.
