English expression: Sell like hotcakes

By Admin 2 Comments

sell like hotcakes

Sell like hotcakes means to sell very quickly. To be very popular. The items don’t last very long on sale.

Be people the products really quickly because they are so popular.

It is an expression we use frequently in English in informal conversation.

Examples:

  • Belen’s new book is selling like hotcakes.
  • The band’s last CD sold like hotcakes.
  • You had better to the bakery quick because the baguettes are selling like hotcakes.

Sometimes you have to have a good marketing campaign if you want your product to sell like hotcakes.

Here’s another English expression for you to learn.
